Kiwanis International is now 101 years old and is in many countries with over 600,000 members. In March this year they opened our own Kiwanis Club here in Pacific Pines. We are a dedicated group of volunteers who care about young people in the community.
Each club decides upon the projects that it gets involved in, as long as they benefit children and/or youth in Pacific Pines and surrounding suburbs. The projects that they are supporting from the beginning include raising funds for social skills programs for children, social intervention programs, Domestic violence awareness and education, making calico teddies for children in hospital and Clothe a child program heading into Christmas. There are no limits for them, we are open to all ideas and opportunities to make a difference in children’s lives in the community.
